About Us

The Mentorship Platform You Didn't Know You Needed

Birthed from the realities of navigating academics and the quest for a career path, we provide guidance, resources, hindsight, and encouragement to students. These students may be in secondary school (high school), Advanced Level/Foundation, University or the in-betweens, transiting from one life phase to another before, between and after the aforementioned.

Mission

A mentorship platform aimed to connect students navigating academics and future careers with knowledgeable mentors using technology and ensuring guidance with relevant curricula.

Vision

Students and professionals with improved clarity, confidence and character through tailored guidance of The Student’s Friend.

A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

Why The Student’s Friend Was Created

The Student’s Friend started with a simple but important realisation: many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they lack guidance, clarity, and support.

Having navigated academics, research, policy, and leadership spaces, I understand how confusing these transitions can be — choosing a course, planning a career, or figuring out “what next.”

TSF exists to bridge that gap, offering mentorship, exposure, and practical guidance so students can make informed decisions about their futures with confidence.

We look forward to having you in our community!

Real Words from the TSF Community

What Students Are Saying

It was a lovely experience having discussions with someone who has passed through a path I want to pass. I got real life responses I know I can’t get from Google.” And I also got to know about different careers that actually align with my goals I feel like this was my highlight for real. The students friend is exactly what it says it is, A FRIEND. I’m so happy for this Journey ❤️

I am once again grateful to have been given the opportunity and the sessions were extremely insightful and timely. It is post graduation now and a lot of my peers are fretting about what comes next but I am not worried because I was able to map about a plan during mentorship. Thank you once again TSF

It was a beautiful experience. At first, I didn't think it would impact me on the level it did, but I was proven wrong in the right way. Every session was appropriate and meaningful. Real-life experience was communicated with us, and it wasn’t just a one-way thing; it was two-way. Both the mentor and mentees were equally involved.

Soooo, you know I was part of The Student’s Friend and I really enjoyed being paired with Praise. That’s a connection that has helped me even way past mentorship. Praise really helped me prep for my interview.

I loved the whole experience, especially the fact that she brought other people from different fields to speak with us. I also loved how she communicated with us and related with our concerns.

I’ve gained clarity and ease about the steps needed for my career. I learnt how to set smart goals and it’s been able to apply that to my business & even relationship with family. It’s made me more intentional.

My experience with the mentorship platform has been transformative. The student's friend mentorship platform has significantly contributed to my professional and personal growth.

It's a very good mentorship programme especially if you are studying in a new country, need some guidance and would love to have someone to be accountable to

Currently, I am a lot more confident in my abilities. I am also able to take practical steps towards working on my weaknesses.

Personally I enjoyed every aspect of the mentorship, this was my first ever mentorship program and it was worth it.

I loved it so much, it was low-key like therapy.
