About Us

The Mentorship Platform You Didn't Know You Needed

Birthed from the realities of navigating academics and the quest for a career path, we provide guidance, resources, hindsight, and encouragement to students. These students may be in secondary school (high school), Advanced Level/Foundation, University or the in-betweens, transiting from one life phase to another before, between and after the aforementioned.

Mission

A mentorship platform aimed to connect students navigating academics and future careers with knowledgeable mentors using technology and ensuring guidance with relevant curricula.

Vision

Students and professionals with improved clarity, confidence and character through tailored guidance of The Student’s Friend.

Why Choose Us

Navigate with clarity

You have ideas of where you should be and have been taking steps towards this, but it’s been challenging navigating alone. We’ve been where you are, where things are cloudy. What helped us? A range, including support from experienced people, a push towards excellence, guidance with CV writing, encouragement to go for certain opportunities and such. Let’s help you navigate with clarity.

Improved Clarity and Confidence

A NOTE FROM OLUWATONI,
TSF TEAM LEAD

Hey there,

I am Oluwatoni Akinola, Team Lead here at The Student’s Friend. I am so glad you are here and considering reaching out for mentorship. I know I needed it when I was where you were – navigating academics and my career path.

My LinkedIn will highlight my trajectory, but my list of educational and work experiences does not highlight my struggles. These included doubting my subject and course decisions, feeling inadequate for being in STEM, lacking motivation, and not being sure how to navigate a career in science and public health.

I am still on the journey to improving my skills, learning, and fulfilling my purpose. I definitely cannot say I am there, wherever that is, but I have improved clarity, confidence, and strength in my field. I want this for you.

So, here at The Student’s Friend, a pool of mentors are available to mentor you via regular catch-up calls, guiding you while you gain your valuable education and work towards your dream career.

Mentorship is free, although there are limited spaces. Check out the Mentorship Program tab to find out the highlights of your sessions. If you are up for this, reach out to us on the Contact Us tab, and we will respond with a form for you to register your interest. We will be in touch to let you know if you are successful and assign a mentor.

Go ahead. We look forward to hearing from you.
